The are three types of chats, offered by our team: written, in which participants communicate through typed messages, audio chats - in which the discussion is kept verbal and video chats, which in addition provides a sound and video channel in real time.
The options for chats - audio-, video- and written discussions in real time on the Internet, which available here, are implemented within various information and communication initiatives, among which is the "Interacting with the European Parliament" project, lead by the European Institute, the Centre for Policy Modernisation and Europe Gateway (Europe.bg). This project is implemented with the financial support of DG "Communication" of the European Parliament and its key tool is themultilingual web-based interactive system http://parliament.europe.bg.
Every online conversation takes place at a day and time advertised in advance at: http://parliament.europe.bg, on this site, and through the media partners of the initiative. Each chat announcement includes a presentation of its topic, of the person who will be responding to your questions, and of the language the chat will be held in. Questions can be asked live in several previously announced languages. Users will get an opportunity to ask questions in advance in an official EU language of their choice.
Written summaries of the online conversations will be published on http://parliament.europe.bg, as well as on this website. Links to them are located in the left column on this page. Audio files and video recordings from the chats or excerpts of them will also be available under the "Interactive" tab on http://parliament.europe.bg.
At the announced day and time, everyone who wishes to participate in the video chat should choose his username on http://chat.europe.bg and click on the button "Login". A password is not required, each participant has "guest" status. A change of username is not allowed while a user participates in a chat.
